Week of  September 7

Bible:  First Things First
Memory Verse - "For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him."   ~Colossians 1:16~

Spelling - The Spelling Test will be on Friday. We will be having one pre-test on Wednesday.
The new words (Lesson 2) are: reign, beige, agent, major, details, survey, freight, faithful, obeyed, prepaid, complaint, neighborly, lava, molten, tephra, volcano, magma, eruption, pressure, conduction, induct, intersect, intersection

Math - The students will continue working with mathematical properties of Addition and Subtraction and reviewing how to estimate to check problems.

Reading - The students will be reading the story, Mr. Lee, on pages 24-33. (We will have a quiz on this story Tuesday.). This story will help the students learn new vocabulary, how to find cause and effect, and how to sequence events.

Language - The students will continue learning about Chapter 1 on sentences.

History - The students will Start Chapter 11 on American Homes and Customs. The Chapter One Test will be Wednesday. A study guide was sent home on Friday.

Science - The students will continue working on Chapter 1 on Rocks and Minerals. We be identifying different minerals and rocks.

Test Schedule

Wednesday: Spelling Pre-Test and History Test
Friday: Spelling and Memory Verse Due

Snack Shop
Angel and Cassie will be doing snack shop this week and need to be at school at 7:55 a.m.
They will not be going to the gym and need to report to the classroom at this time.
