Partnering with Families

North Christian Elementary School  is more than a place to send your children to school. NCES is a community of Christian believers who commit their time, talents and resources to provide the best  school possible for students and their families. NCES has a comprehensive staff including: six classroom teachers, grades K-5; four special-area teachers (technology, music, physical education and intervention); a full-time principal and secretary, as well as the supervision of a staff pastor.  All other programming, such as coaching, lunch  assistants, office support, and library aides are provided through the resources of our parent community. When you enroll your child at NCES, you are joining a group of parents who are committed to active involvement in the school ministry.

Some examples of our commitment to partner with families:

• Parent volunteers throughout the school; 
• Parents serving as school board members; 
• Weekly classroom and office newsletters sent home;
• Regularly-updated website; 
• Special events such as "Back-To-School-Night, the national See You at the Pole event, Grandparent’s Day, School-wide Christmas program, Open House for families, Easter celebration, National Day of Prayer event, NCES Talent Show, End-of-the-Year Celebration Night;
• School Athletic teams-Girls' & Boys' basketball, Track and Cheerleading;
• Automated phone and email announcments supported by School Cast;
• Parent involvement on School Improvement Teams, School Vision events and fundraising;
• Parent surveys for feedback and suggestions.
